Monday Menu Week #5

This week we are changing it up a bit at Treasured Tidbits and will be adding breakfast, lunch and snack menus to our weekly Monday Menu.  We have added a little one to our house three days a week and can no longer just “toss” something together at the last minute.  And since I am a SUPER COOL babysitter we are planning to have “themed” snacks.

This week’s theme is “pirates” and I will be including the links for the snacks we hope to make.  Of course, we will also make fun crafts, dress up and study a bit about pirates too.

How do you liven up summer for your little ones?


Monday Menu Week #5

Sunday:

Breakfast:  OYO (On Your Own)

Lunch:  OYO

Supper:  OYO

Monday:

Breakfast:  OYO

Lunch:  Tuna Salad, Chips

Snack:  Ice cream & Warm Brownies

Supper:  Grilled Steak & Chicken (extras for the week), salad, pasta salad

Tuesday:

Breakfast:  OYO (I need to take my pets to the vet so the girls are on their own)

Lunch:  Tacos or Salad from Sunday night leftovers

Snack:  Apples & Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chips & Marshmallows

Supper:  Stir Fry & Rice (Our stir-fry starts with just the meat and then each person adds their own ingredients until the one who likes the most has their food- removing individual servings as we go)

Wednesday:

Breakfast:  Eggs, Toast & Juice

Lunch:  Mac & Cheese, Hot Dogs, Cottage Cheese, Chips and Salad

Snack:  “Treasure Map” Cake and Milk

Supper:  Crockpot Roast, Mashed Potatoes, Rolls, Green Beans & Corn

Thursday:

Breakfast:  Cereal and Fruit or Juice

Lunch:  Sandwiches, Cottage Cheese, Chips & Fruit

Snack:  Jello Cups with Fish and Cheese Cut into Skull shapes with Cookie Cutters

Supper:  Pasta, Salad & Garlic Bread (I have my first therapy session today and doubt I am up to cooking much so I chose a meal hubby likes to make.)

Friday:

Breakfast:  Eggs, Toast, Juice (Omelets for those who will enjoy them)

Lunch:  Leftover Pasta, Salad & Garlic Bread

Snack:  Carrot & Cucumber Swords, Apple and Cheese Ships Pirate Ships

Supper:  Pizza or Wraps and Salad

 Saturday:

Breakfast:  OYO

Lunch:  Sub sandwiches-Assemble Your Own  (My family is coming to visit)

Snack:  Cookies or Brownies

Supper:  Grilled Steak & Chicken, Deviled Eggs, Salad & More Brownies


What’s on your menu this week?

Side note:  A few of you have asked how we can afford steaks on our budget?  First, they are not NY Strip but Ribeye or something similar.  They are also on sale AND in the markdown section.  Example:  I just purchased four delicious thinly sliced ribeyes (1 lb total) for only $1.35 (the entire package).  This is the only way we can afford to eat steaks regularly.
