As part of working toward “Controlling the Chaos” in our home, improving our bedroom on a zero budget and “simplifying” our home I have been downsizing our belongings. I have also been discovering ways to make everyday activities (dressing, medications, laundry, etc…) easier.

This week’s menu is nothing exciting and almost all easy meals due to the fact I am struggling with some additional physical issues and trying to plan accordingly so that I can take care of my family but not use all my energy on cooking or cleaning up (which my husband definitely does more than his share of dishwasher loading and emptying, bless his heart.)

Many if you have asked specifically about our budget and I have made the decision to share it with you.
Please note: I will not be sharing our actual income and total expenses due to conflict and split family issues, but I will share our list of bills and how well we do controlling our gas, food and supplies costs since I can control those.
We are skipping January due to the fact it has already passed and I didn’t keep super great records but I do know we spent around on $200 on groceries and supplies for the ENTIRE month while we implemented the “Just Make Do January” challenge.

This week’s “How We Saved and Earned” list may not seem very large compared to previous posts, but we are still implementing many of the things we shared before, such as draft dodgers, “Just Make DO Challenge“, aprons, leftovers, back to back baking, etc… For a look back at those posts click here.
I also need to mention that we experienced a huge setback to our current emergency fund with the breakdown and repair of our furnace. A story I share here.
