This is month has been set aside to devote to preparing your home for the upcoming school year. If you do not have school aged children you can devote it to getting your office, craft room or other area “under control”. We have also set aside every 7 days for Weekly Maintenance and Outside Maintenance since most homes have some sort of yard or outdoor space that needs regular maintenance.
This week’s menu and shopping were easy since we moved most of last week’s meals back a few days due to hospital/doctor visits. As you can see the homemade chicken soup was added to this week’s list. That would be because I had thawed my “soup bucket” and needed to consume it soon.

After a review of last month’s budget and the addition of our babysitting job I decided to upgrade the monthly grocery budget to $125/week. That is for four and a half people with varying food intolerances and limited diets. (I say half because our guest is only here 3 days a week.)
This week we spent $167+ but many of the items will be consumed over the next few weeks and our supplies (detergent, deodorant, etc… are included in a separate budget category.)
This week’s menu has things changed up a bit and features a link to our main shopping trips as well as some of the recipes we use on a regular basis.
